We received a very long letter from Paul prior to his death. A letter I will always treasure. This is only a small part of it, but I always loved it and thought it was heart touching, at least to me. I hope this speaks to your heart as much as it does mine. My dog Xeroxs death was preparation for something else still to come. And thats ok, because that is life and there isnt a damn thing you can do about it except live it and accept it and keep going and hopefully leave something behind that will show you cared and didnt just give up or become embittered or regretful or hateful or all of those other things that a lot of people seem to do in their twilight years. You can see it in their faces. But, every once in awhile Ill see an older person on the street who has laugh lines etched into their face and a smile constantly playing about their lips, that says to me they lived a full life and are satisfied with their place and what they have done in the world. They have come through it all, and while death is an inevitable thing, they can go when its time and be okay with that. I like to think that is me. ~Paul Candler~ 1964-2013 Always missed, always loved every single day. Mom, Dad & Susan (Jun 26, 2020)
