Rich was a lovely man and one of the funniest and warmest people I've known in a long time. His passion for Broadway and Bette Midler still make me smile!

Richie had an exuberance beyond words. No matter what may have been going on he was never deflated. I don't think I ever saw him down. And how many people in the world had a jumpsuit customized to wear for Better Midler's Do You Wanna Dance tour with Bette's signature on the back which had the artwork from the album? ... and you got to have Friends, to make the day last long ...
