Hutchinson, Robert Reynaud Hutch

Hutch was a unique persona in the ebulient years of the 70s and the 80s. He was legendary amongst his friends and admirers. My partner and lover of 21 years, Erik Wampler was a friend. I was more on the fringes ... but we always enjoyed meeting up (especially at the 'Y' on Golden Gate, and at the haunts South of the Slot, which we both frequented). When I sadly left San Francisco in 2001, I had seen Hutch one last time, and he remained the same charming and engaging guy that I had known from earlier days. It is only now that I have discovered that he passed on. You are one heck of a bloke, Hutch ... loved all the beautiful things you did. And will always remember your sharp wit and brilliant sense of humour.
