I still think about you often, Glen. Conversations past; I can still hear your voice, can still see your smile.
Glen was a devoted friend and a kind person. As the years have gone by, I have only missed him more.
Today, I discovered that Glen passed away in 2005. In 1982, my wife and I, while living in Blue Earth, MN, took in a foster son, Darrin. Darrin was in my orchestra, and I was aware he was struggling in his life, so my wife and I opened up our home to him. It so happened, Darrin's best friend was Glen. Glen was such a bright young man, and was always very pleasant anytime he would hang out our house with Darrin. My fondest memory is giving Glen and Darrin haircuts in the kitchen. Sadly, Darrin passed away on March 18th due to sepsis, which caused me to search for information on Glen. It is heart breaking that both died way too early. But now, Glen is reunited with his good friend, Darrin.
You were kind and generous. Exceptionally beautiful. I think of you often, especially when I listen to the CDs you burned for me or look at the model starship that Frank made in your memory and bears the name USS Glen Renkly. I miss you.
