I have written several obits for the Bay Area Reporter, including this one for Charles Pierce, who is missed by thousands of friends and fans every day. Someone made a boo-boo with the headline when this was published, because Charles died at age 72 not 76. Four years difference may not seem like much, but when you are a famous drag queen, it means a LOT! Rest in peace, Charles.
