Brookins, Jon George

I worked with Jon at George Lithograph from 1991 until his death in 1997. Jon had a biting sense of humor, but he was always the most generous of friends. I still have the George Lithograph driver's jacket that he gave me not long after we started working together, a gesture that made me feel that I had become part of a family. When in San Francisco I always make a point of visiting Jon at the AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park. Being there with him takes me back to the time when he was in my life.
