I met Luis through a mutual college. He was invited to the wedding to my first husband, and I think hooked him up to an apartment one of my dancers lived in. I remember taking class with him at the old Lines studio on Oak Street, man, that kicked my ass. I didn't hear of his passing until much later. I wish I'd known if only to say goodbye.
