Andersen, John

I met John in 1975-76 on Christmas Eve. I lived in the Castro and went out for a walk in the evening to see the decorations for the holiday and as I expected, not too many people were out and about. Honestly, when John and I caught each others glance we both beamed smiles and from that day on we were friends. I recall one night at his Twin Peaks apartment an earthquake shook the building and we were so glad to be together. John loved my photo work and we thought to set up a darkroom in his apartment. I must confess, I loved the man. His smile and manner would melt your heart. I miss him and think of him often.
