Always the husband of my heart

For my doctoral research in English Literature I worked on identifying and categorizing LGBT fantasy novels. My best resource and foundational text was Eric's book 'Uranian Worlds'. Eric Garber made such a contribution, in the late 80s, to an area of scholarship that wasn't really touched by academics for another twenty-five years - I'd like that to be known. His energy, engagement, and love for the topic was evident in every word I read. I wish I'd known him personally, but I took the liberty of including him in my thesis dedication regardless.
