A poem Stephen wrote for me sometime in early 1988. ❤️ THE SLEEPING LOVERS By Stephen Romero Jr. HALF ASLEEP HALF AWAKE. A TENDER CARESS FROM THE LOVERS BEST. A HALF OPENED EYE THAT WHICHES TO SPY AND CHECK TO SEE IF BOTH AGREE. A KISS TO ANSWER THE EYE THAT WONDERS. AN INSIDE KNOWLEDGE THAT LOVE IS POLISHED. THESE INTIMATE MOMENTS BETWEEN TWO LOVERS. THE SHARING AND CARING OF ONE ANOTHER.

Our time together was all too short and we expected too much of each other, but I will never forget you. I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can...love, always

Stephen was born January 23, 1961. ❤️ He moved to San Francisco in the fall of 1987 from Brooklyn, New York and died on January 19, 1995. 😢
