Michael gave me so much. Here was an open hearted, life loving gay man who showed me the way. I met him in 1984 when we both worked at the People's Theater Coaltion at Fort Mason. He could fix anything. Years later he fixed my dryer when it broke. Here was a person in my life who I miss every day because he is one of those connections snatched away. I remember his gorgeous smile, emerging from a deep sleep, as I massaged his feet as he lay dying.
