I ran into an old frind of Steve's and mine about a week ago at the Diamond Heights Safeway. I hadn't seen this friend since before Steve died. The friend said to me I still miss him and can't go to Potrero Hill without thinking of him. I replied I only miss him after the sun rises and after the sun goes down. After 16 years that hole in my heart has never been filled. A part of me died with him.

Steve would have been 69 years old today. How different my life would have been with you in it the last 29 years. Albert and Duke still miss you and think of you everyday.
