Morton, Eric Scott

Erik and I met at VCU in Richmond, Va. in 1976. We were dorm mates and later room mates pre 1980. He won the homecoming queen title at VCU shortly after I met him which was a HUGE thing back then as his class mates chose him by vote and it briefly made national news. He was smart, extremely handsome and such a sweet guy. The last time I saw him was in the late 80’s, he told me he was preparing to move to San Francisco to work for Marriott as a concierge. Fast forward a couple of years later and I was at a business conference at a Marriott hotel in SF and needed to use the concierge and on a lark asked him if Erik still worked there, that is when I found out he had died. I miss you Erik….and Danny and Richard and Jeffrey and all of our former dorm mates who passed from AIDS.
