I never knew you but I read your obituary & wanted leave a remembrance message.

I met John through our mutual friend Leon James (who died of AIDS in 1993). AIDS was a horrific disease back then!! I'm sorry to say that I made a bad impression upon John, but he made a lasting impression upon me. He was very angry at how AIDS was decimating his body and the gay community. AIDS claimed the lives of many he loved most before he himself died, and that made him feel lonely and angry. At the end, I hope he knew how much he was loved...even by those who barely knew him.
