This is a wonderfully detailed obituary about Mark's significant achievements. I lived with him in Madison, Wisconsin, for about a year when he was 20. I remember how he liked to bake and made huge messes in the kitchen. Imagine coming home after a long day to him saying, I've been waiting for you, then be led into the kitchen and offered warm apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Whatever he baked was impossible to resist. Though we lost touch after that, I'm not surprised to learn that he remained a feminist. He was always very understanding and compassionate and had the knack of getting along with five very different roommates, men and women. I didn't want him to leave us to move to San Francisco, but he seemed so happy about what he'd found there. We lost touch and I just learned recently that he changed his last name to Kostopoulos. If anyone knows why he did that, please tell--I knew him as Mark Dyer Rexroad. My condolences to all who mourn him, all who miss him, all who loved him.
