We met in August 1980 during my first visit to San Francisco. In August 1982,I stayed with you in the Castro and attended the first Gay Games. In August 1986, during the second Gay Games, I ran into you near 17th and Castro and we spoke briefly. I have just learned that HIV killed you in 1992. I have been so much luckier.
