Dennis, Walt

Walt was a staff member of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus joining in May, 1988 for 1 concert season. The Chorus refers to these members who are no longer able to sing with the group as members of the "Fifth Section." Oh Walt, you are a fixture in the best times in my life. The Royal Viking years. You were ring leader of individual res and I was rising up through the company as David's protege. I never knew when to take you serious when you flirted. You were part of my family welcoming me back after a long stay at St. Francis and rehab from staph infection in my spine. You, David, Rolando, Elaine, Julie and the rest welcomed me back at least 20 lbs underweight and energized me. You were part of the foundation of my gay social life, I just wish I'd been mature enough, confident, to have gotten closer to you as friend/mentor/?date but still I will always remember you.
