I’d never really gotten a chance to look before, but I had the urge to look at the AIDS quilt today after remembering Duane Puryear, and I was just browsing around when one caught my eye in particular on block #2336. I’m a sucker for artwork depicting the night sky, and upon further inspection, I realized that today, February 2nd, 2024, would have been Greg's 70th birthday. I promptly tried to look up more information about Greg, and I found both this obituary and one posted in the San Francisco Examiner. I never met you Greg, but I love your beautiful quilt design and the positive impacts you surely had on those around you in your career. I'm crying over someone I will never meet, because you deserved to live longer than 37 years, and I hope you're resting in peace.
