I remember Douglas Walker fondly. Very Attractive, sweet man, great hair stylist. We worked in the same space but for two different businesses. He at Notorious For Hair and I at Prima Facie Skincare Salon. I went to visit him at Davies with another co-worker just before he passed. He asked me if I would come back soon and do a little facial treatment and massage for him while at the hospital. Being a new Aesthetician and a pretty young woman at the time, I hadn't been asked to make a house call before. I packed up some aromatherapy products and paid him a visit. He was very sick by then and I was quite nervous about his tolerance for touch. He was appreciative of whatever I did and had some moments of relief from pain and discomfort. Perked him up a bit too. Really amazing what touch can do. He asked if I brought tint to dye his lashes and of course I did. Made those beautiful eyes shine again! I never got to see Douglas again before he passed on. I'm however very grateful of the experience because I learned about care and compassion at an earlier age than some people do. That's what's kept me in the business going on 30 years now. Thinking of you Douglas Walker!
