This is the first I've seen the sad news above Bob, whom I know and very much appreciated when I lived in San Francisco. Bob (I guess it was he who) nominated me for a Cable Car award for the opening party I threw for my photo shop on Castro Street (it was held on a R/T Amtrak train, SF/San Jose). I didn't think it was deserving, but Bob (and his partner, whose name I'm sorry to have forgotten) was insistant. I still remember his graciousness.
