Crawford, Ricky

Ricky and Patrick were our neighbours for many 9 years when we lived at the corner of Waller and Broderick streets. Those were wonderful and fun years. Ricky and Patrick were constantly in our lives; it was like I Love Lucy in those two apartments. We had the best of parties and the greatest of times. I remember the day he told me he had AIDS ... I was walking home up Broderick Street and he was sitting on his steps and he came up to me and told me. I hugged him tightly and I could feel his bones in his body ... I knew his time was coming. It was an incredibly sad day for me. I think of you all the time, Ricky. Thanks for all the laughs, the music, and that bloody cockatiel, Kirby of yours!
