Poole, Gary Butch

I first saw Gary at Dance Spectrum rehearsing with his sister Gloria.They were practicing Turn the Beat Around in platform tennis shoes.I was 17 and had never seen such a fine tuned dance duo. They formed a dance troupe, Gary and Gloria and the Hot Flash Dancers, won American Bandstand's National Dance Contest and were very active at all the San Francisco street festivals and parades.We danced together for 5 years, it was both exciting and difficult, he was complicated but really just wanted to do what he did best, dancing, dancing in the streets.
