I met Jeffrey at the Stud. I remember him being surrounded by two of his drinking peers. He seemed to always be in the middle of them on the bench against the wall as we all drank the night away. What can i say? The Stud Bar was a place for exactly that. I must have looked like a twink compared to them being 13 or so years younger but i finally went home with him and my oh my, the both of us treated each other like human beings from there on out. I enjoyed his conversations despite his hand to nose feeder if you catch my drift. I will leave it at that because i was not the moral equivalent of upright citizenship myself. lol. His postcard enterprise fascinated me. He was obviously a talent. I loved to see his eyes follow his smile as if a puzzle was being put together. And then... my social life changed and path branched out in a different direction. I remember the day i read his obituary printed in the BAR. He was gone in what seemed like melancholy non turbulence. Kudos to all the wonderful artists that have passed through in a casual time that i see nowhere around today.
