Olsen, Ben Barth Jr

I knew Ben for about five years in the 1970's, it was too short of a time. I have had many people influence and inspire me but he has been my compass. Ben was like a second father to me. I was twice blessed for having known him. Ben, I know my eyes glazed over sometimes when you spoke but I was listening. I can still hear your voice in my head. Even now, at the age of fifty, I still have aha! moments when I say ahh thats what he meant. And when I am sitting at the table talking to my sons who have that same glazed look in their eyes, I like to think that yours is one of those hands on my shoulder assuring me that everything is going to be fine.
