Leonard was a staff member of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus from January, 1986 until August, 1986 for a total of 3 concert seasons. The Chorus refers to these members who are no longer with the group as members of the "Fifth Section." When I clicked on your obituary it took me awhile to recall who you were? Then it hit me when I Googled your name. Your iconic photo brought back the memories of your courage. Racism like Homophobia is one of the nastiest forms of discrimination,because no one should have to stay in the closet. The closet is for storage and safe keeping your treasured item's. One day younger homosexual male's may learn about the brave sacrifice you made on their behalf back in the 1970's. May you be a symbol of courage for anyone forced to conceal sexual lifestyles,political views or gender conflicts. RIP
