Pursell, David Frank

David and I were childhood friends growing up in North Hill in Pensacola, Florida. David was SO smart I alway wondered why we were friends and was not surprised to learn that he got an appointment to the US Naval Academy in 1971. We went our separate ways but kept in touch. I remember him telling me he graduated top 10 of his class, spoke Russian and eventually ended up in San Fransisco. I Visited him a few times there where he showed me around the city especially the Presidio, his favorite place. He became too sick at the end of 1987 to continue my visits but he always expressed love for his family and Pensacola where he wanted to return. I have just (2019) learned he is laid to rest from his obituary at the Presidio his favorite place. What a wonderful life cut too short at 34....
