Ken you were what San Francisco was about in the halycon days. It felt so surreal walking down Castro in 1989. You had already left this place, it felt like an alien landscape. I was young and scared. I wish I could have done something, I couldn't. I have someone that loves me so much and I have put the 1980s behind. I wish I could have given you that one big hug and said everything is going to be alright. Thank you for being brave and being out in such happy and yet tragic time. The generation of today will never be able to comprehend how much a better place it is now, even though prejudice and bigotry still remain.
