White, Dan

Dan White's widow, Mary White, was a long-time teacher in the San Francisco Unified School District. I did not teach with here, but a few summers ago I met her when she was my workshop leader for summertime professional development in early literacy. Ironically, the PD was conducted at her local Catholic school in her neighborhood, the Excelsior District. That was the first, and so far only time I went to a PD event -- sponsored by SFUSD -- at a Catholic site.
