So sorry to hear about what happened to Gary in the 1980's suffering with Aids he seemed a lovely man to me and its really sad he gone x R.I.P Gary xxx you will be remebered as for all the othermen that it took away so early in their lives . a English lady who cares I am xxx
Gary, your memory lives on! RIP.
Hi Gary, I was your final Shanti Project helper. I remember you with love all these years later. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
So moving, watching your dilemma unfold. I held on to hope through the video but it was alarming seeing it take all those names to appear on screen with the dates of their passing. Without exception. Here in the UK Freddie Mercury brought it home, the dangers! From two yrs hence after that date there was hope but your name isn't forgotten. I keep reflecting back on that video. You were courageous and brave, also cherished.
Saw Gary in a documentary. I wanted to say how touched I was by his spirit, the hope and resilience and strength he had, even in the face of something so bleak. You've touched so many lives, Gary. I'm sure you'd be so proud to see that you've lived on. May you rest easy💕.
As we near the fortieth anniversary of your passing, I am taken aback by the immortal life you have in the words of Randy Shilt’s “And the Band Played On.” Particularly striking is your realization: “I am love and light, and I transform people by just being who I am.” Your light shines still and your memory is not forgotten. Shine in peace, Gary.
Much love and prayers to you, Gary. Your spirit is forever eternal. I am more educated and informed about AIDS because of your bravery and selflessness. God Bless you, brother.
