In my mind Paul is standing by the front desk at Operation Concern at Presbyterian Med Ctr and it’s the late 70’s, and he is, of course, smiling. Paul smiled often. I was the receptionist and he treated me with a warm fatherly respect. We talked one day about blueberries. I had some and he challenged me to eat only one. Impossible! He knew that I hailed from Maine and got quite the giggles when I poured a big handful into my mouth because just one was not going to do it. I loved that guy.
