That our leaders could be so bigoted and short sighted in failing to recognize the nature of the AIDS epidemic and to act appropriately is a tragedy. That the gay community has survived is miraculous. This is a poignant memorial to the failings of that eras leaders, and the strength of that eras gay community. Long may we remember.
