RIP Brother. However, I thought the first public case of someone dying from HIV/AIDS was Grethe Rask, the Danish surgeon who succumbed to the then unidentified illness in November of 1977 after working years abroad in Africa.

Let's end the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS. Let's stop calling people without STIs clean because it implies that people who test positive are dirty. All of the stigma prevents people from getting tested and catching things early on, as well as increases transmission. Start talking more about this, we need to.

It is highly unlikely that this person died of AIDS given what we know about the timeline for the disease. Folks are coming to this site under the misconception that all the obituaries are AIDS related, they're not, they are obituaries for the gay community and not every gay person dies from AIDS.

In remembrance of my dear friend Ron. We shared so many wonderful times together on trips and at shows, and I knew I was always welcome at your house. I miss you so much. Thank you for being my friend for more than 30 years. Love, Tom

1980s just moved here from Monterey but had visits before. 1980 you could dance at the Ibeam no I'd so I've been here awhile and to see old faces brings back so many different emotions. Thank you for this place! The Castro has changed so much , it use to be more like neighborhood
