Rick - This project is so tied to you. Without you, I don't think I could have found someone as dedicated as Dan to get this project to be everything I envisioned. I pass by your old apartment every day, and very often think of you and how we met in Denver in 1992 - with you sporting Minnie Mouse ears and greeting your audience at the door of the Orlando Gay Chorus' performance at the GALA Chorus Festival. Your apartment is in good hands, the woman living there also is a cat-lover and she is a wonderful lady. I know you are singing with the rest of the Fifth Section - sing on, Louise!

I stumbled upon this archive today, August 13, 2015. As I looked at the story about the GLBT Historical Society in the BAR I immediately noticed your pic, Rick. We met in 1987 and became friends easily. We both dated a couple of the same guys! hahah I always remember your Christmas in July birth date! It's now more than ten years since you passed. I miss you very much as do so many of your other Orlando friends. Thank you BAR for the tribute you have paid to these, our friends.

Rick was a member of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus from October, 1998 until March, 2002 for a total of 6 concert seasons. He last sang as a member of the Bass section. The Chorus refers to these members who are no longer able to sing with the group as members of the "Fifth Section." They are listed Chorus programs and on the group's website: https://www.sfgmc.org/about_fifth.shtml

Dear Rick: I can't believe you have been gone for six years. Your cat Teddy is alive and well and happy. Tom has created this on-line database and I'm delighted that the very first guestbook comment is dedicated to you. Rest in peace.
