This Saturday night I was listening to a recording of the Dallas Bach Society directed by Paul Riedo, circa 1990. As I was listening to this heavenly music my mind made a connection to you Michael. How could I ever forget the summer Paul was visiting me in San Francisco (because the organist at St. Thomas Aquinas in Dallas needed to be releathered). Paul met you, brought you back to my place and engaged you in ways that remind us all of how rare and wonderful it is to truly touch another human being in the most profound way and in return, to be touched in the most profound way. Life is so very precious and so very short. I am grateful to have met you and I'm especially grateful that you and Paul made such a cosmic connection. Let us sing the body electric and revel in the time we had together and the time we have yet to come, as we join in the cosmic dance.

Michael was a member of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus from January, 1987 until February, 1993 for a total of 18 concert seasons. He last sang as a member of the First Tenor section, and his pure voice was truly angelic, as mentioned in the obituary. The Chorus refers to these members who are no longer able to sing with the group as members of the "Fifth Section." They are listed Chorus programs and on the group's website: https://www.sfgmc.org/about_fifth.shtml
