I'm a teacher in the San Francisco Unified School District and I taught summer school at Cesar Chavez Elementary School in 2011. A plaque memorializing Tim's life is affixed to the entrance of the school's library on the ground floor of this Mission district building. Tim is still remembered by his educational family. |

Tim was the baritone in The Choral Majority, a bold, blaspheming quartet caroling and crusading against the New Right, Reagonomics and all things politically incorrect, from 1981-83. Naphtali Offen and I wrote a song for Tim and Tom, It came upon a midnight clear, that troublesome call from my mom. We want you here to spend Christmas, dear, but please don't bring your friend Tom.... You are still missed, dear Tim, and specially remembered as the Supreme Court decision legalizing marriage nationally happened just days ago. |

Tim was a member of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus from April, 1979 until July, 1979 for a total of 2 concert seasons. He sang as a member of the Baritone section. The Chorus refers to these members who are no longer able to sing with the group as members of the "Fifth Section." They are listed Chorus programs and on the group's website: https://www.sfgmc.org/about_fifth.shtml |
