Robert was a member of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus from January 1994 until his death later that year. He was a member of the First Tenor section. The Chorus refers to these members who are no longer able to sing with the group as members of the “Fifth Section.” They are listed Chorus programs and on the group’s website: https://www.sfgmc.org/about_fifth.shtml

I miss my cousin Robbie, more each year. I was exactly one year older than him. We played together and I resent that he was taken from me. I have so many things I want to tell him about. He was so much fun and I treasure that he was a shining star in my life. His life in SF seemed full and happy. He visited me about a year before he died, and I keep the pictures of that visit in a place where I can frequently look at them when I miss him.
